ALABAMA

In Alabama, applicants for voter registration do not declare a political party affiliation when registering to vote. The only time you are required to designate a political party preference is when you choose to vote in a primary election. To vote in a political party primary election, you must inform the poll worker of your political party choice. If you do not declare a political party, you will be provided an issues-only ballot.
